NLC introduces AI & Emerging Technology Forum
The National League of Cities (NLC) launched a new initiative, the AI & Emerging Technology Forum to introduce conversation on artificial intelligence implementation for municipalities. The NLC plans for this Forum to assist in navigation of the technology in service delivery, internal communications and other uses.
The Forum brings together mayors, chief information officers, local government technology practitioners and other municipal leaders to discuss their first-hand experiences with the technology, headwinds, resources and practical advice.The Forum first convened virtually in March and will reconvene at the 2026 City Summit in Nashville, Tenn. on Nov. 18 – 21, 2026.
“Through this initiative, NLC continues to expand its support for local governments as they navigate emerging technologies and adapt to a rapidly changing digital landscape,” wrote the NLC.
