WVDOH accepts bids for bridge replacement projects
Eight bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects are among 18 construction projects included in a bid letting conducted by the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) on April 14, 2026. Among the bridge projects included in the bid are a renovation project on the Little Sandy Creek Bridge, an expansion joint replacement and deck overlay on the Cow Creek Overpass Bridge on Interstate 64 in Cabell County, a replacement of a bridge washed out by flooding in McDowell County and more.
“Gov. Patrick Morrisey has put an emphasis on keeping and maintaining our existing bridge infrastructure,” said WVDOH State Bridge Engineer Tracy Brown. “We’re trying to address our bridges that are in good and fair shape and keep them that way.”
