Nevada makes strides to safeguard drinking water
Nevada received $33.7 million in federal funding to strengthen the state’s safe drinking water infrastructure. U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) secured the funding from the Environmental Protection Agency. It will be given to the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources toward removing common contaminants found in drinking water and protecting public health.
“Every Nevadan deserves to have access to clean drinking water,” said Rosen. “At a time when water shortages are worsening, it’s so important that we protect and conserve this essential resource. I am proud to have secured this important funding for our state, and I will continue pushing to ensure that every Nevadan has access to safe drinking water.”
