ASCE inducts 2027 President
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) at its annual business meeting swore in Carol Haddock, P.E., MPA, F.ASCE, as the 2027 president of the Society.
Haddock serves as the director of public works for the City of Baytown, Texas and a professor-in-the-practice at Rice University.
Before these positions, she was the first woman to direct Houston’s Department of Public Works. She managed one of the largest public works agencies in the U.S., managing key services, projects and a team of over 4,000 workers.
“I’ve gotten so much more out of ASCE than I’ve ever put it in,” said Haddock. “So it’s just been woven into the fabric of my journey.”
The business meeting also included inducting Rossana D’Antonio, P.E., G.E., F.ASCE, as the new ASCE president-elect and swearing in board members
