USDOT issues $1.73 billion to upgrade nationwide transportation
The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) issued $1.73 billion worth of grants to 127 projects across the United States to support a variety of transportation infrastructure improvements. Approximately 19 states will receive portions of the funding to replace or upgrade critical, aging infrastructure.
“This department is investing in repairing critical roads and bridges that connect Americans to job opportunities, port infrastructure that bolsters our national security and aviation and transit projects that move American families,” said Sean Duffy, USDOT secretary. “The impact of these dollars will be felt in communities nationwide for years to come.”
USDOT issued the funding via its Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development, or BUILD grant program.
