Department of Energy expands AI Infrastructure with Four New Sites

The U.S. Department of Energy will partner with data center developers, energy companies and private sector partners to develop four sites on federal land. These sites are a part of the initiative to strengthen leadership in AI. The sites selected Idaho National Laboratory, Oak Ridge Reservation, Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant and Savannah River Site.

According to the Energy Secretary Chris Wright,” By leveraging DOE land assets for the deployment of AI and energy infrastructure, we are taking a bold step to accelerate the next Manhattan Project—ensuring U.S. AI and energy leadership.”
