Illinois Green Lights Plan to Revamp State Roadways
The Illinois Tollway board has approved a $2 billion, seven-year capital plan called ‘Bridging the Future’ to modernize and maintain its five-roadway system through 2031. The plan includes major projects like bridge reconstruction, interchange design, system maintenance and technology upgrades for traffic management.
