First in the Nation: Chicago-area school district introduces a geothermal system
Trane Technologies unveiled their project that innovates energy efficiency within the classroom. The Dynamic Closed Loop (DCL) geothermal system was introduced with overwhelming community support and anticipated success of the system’s sustainability and cost reduction. School district officials applaud the opportunity to be the first in the country to harness geothermal energy in the K-12 setting in an effort to save taxpayer money, reduce the carbon footprint and decrease operating costs.
According to Trane Services Account Executive Patrick Heneberry, “This project is potentially transformative for educational markets nationwide.”
