EPA Announces Reduction in Force and Reorganization Efforts to Save Taxpayers
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released an announcement in which a reduction in force and restructuring of the agency is projected to deliver $748.8 million in savings. Alongside the reduction in force, which will include over 3,000 Fork in the Road, Deferred Resignation Program and Voluntary Early Retirement applications, the agency is creating a new Office of Applied Science and Environmental Solutions. The EPA sets out to conduct research and science in a more efficient manner that remains effective following the reorganization by rolling back DEI as part administration initiatives.
