WWETT Show announces inaugural Women of Wastewater awards
The Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment and Transport (WWETT) Show announced its inaugural Women in Wastewater (WoW) awards. This new recognition is designed for the women who are driving innovation, breaking barriers and making a lasting impact in the wastewater industry.
The first ever class of WoW awards includes Michelle Amelse, Joanne Carroll, Michele Higdon, Sheila Joy and Kimberly Turner. Amelse is the Chief Customer Officer at Satellite Industries and the co-founder of the Satellite Women’s Conference. Carroll is the founder and president of Subtegic Group Inc., with over 35 years of specialized experience in the water and wastewater industry. Higdon is the Superintendent of the Shelbyville Indiana Water Resource Recovery Facility which serves over 19,000 residents. Joy is the Executive Director of NASSCO with over 25 years of experience in the wastewater industry. Turner is the owner of Turner Septic LLC and a nationally respected voice for women in wastewater.
A special ceremony for the awardees will be held at the show.
