US Infrastructure could become casualty of Iran-Israel conflict
The ongoing Israel–Iran conflict could trigger cyberattacks targeting U.S. critical infrastructure. Researchers from firms like Radware and Google’s Threat Intelligence Group warn that Iran-linked state-sponsored hackers and hacktivist groups—who are already active in the Middle East—may expand operations to U.S. utility, transportation and agricultural networks, exploiting vulnerabilities in smaller operators and third-party vendors. They advise that U.S. organizations strengthen cybersecurity defenses—such as patching systems, enhancing monitoring and updating incident-response plans—to protect against potential espionage, sabotage, disinformation, or destructive attacks.
