UDOT begins $621 million 2100 North connection project

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) announced the beginning of construction of the 2100 North connection project. The 2.8-mile-long freeway-to-freeway connection between Interstate 15 and Mountain View Corridor aims to increase connectivity in the state. The $621 million project includes the construction of 14 new bridges and two new pedestrian bridges. The project also expands nearly two miles of shared-use paths and the reconstruction two miles of existing trails to improve access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Construction of the major project is expected to be completed in late 2028. The 2100 North connection project is one of many funded by the state’s $1.4 billion transportation investment.

“As Utah County continues to thrive, we are investing in projects like this to keep Utah moving,” UDOT Region Three Director Rob Clayton said. “This new connection will make it easier for people to get where they need to go.”
