Michigan receives $2.1M state grant for Lansing infrastructure
The Michigan Department of Transportation has awarded a $2.1 million Transportation Economic Development Fund grant to support jobs and investment in the city of Lansing. The Transportation Economic Development Fund grants help finance public highway, road and street projects critical to the movement of people and goods.
The grant is expected to support 243 new and retained jobs and leverage $50 million in private investment. The total project cost is $2.7 million. The grant, awarded through the fund’s Category A program, will cover $2.1 million, or about 80% of the total.
