DOE Announces Actions to Secure American Critical Minerals and Materials Supply Chain
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced it will issue notices of funding opportunities (NOFO) almost reaching a cumulative $1 billion to ensure accessible and reliable supply of critical minerals and materials in the country. As part of President Trump’s “Unleashing American Energy” Executive Order, the funding is set with the goal to accelerate growth of domestic critical materials and minerals. Proposed NOFOs range between $50 million for the Critical Minerals and Materials Accelerator program, and up to $500 million for a Battery Materials Processing and Battery Manufacturing and Recycling Grant Program.
