State DOTs Aim for Truck Parking, Rest Area Improvements

The Ohio Department of Transportation and Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced plans to expand truck parking and modernize highway rest areas in the two states. Plans to allocate $150 million in funding towards at least 1,400 new truck parking spaces across the state of Ohio and updates to Massachusetts’s $750 million plan to revamp 18 highway service plazas are set to begin construction early next year. Work is slated to go through the end of 2027.
